Areas
The exploration and production
of oil and gas from state leases are managed
in part by the Units Section. Lessees may
apply to the Division of Oil and Gas to
form
a "Unit". A unit is composed
of a group of leases covering all or part
of an accumulation of oil or gas. The lessees
have agreed to operate the leases as a
single unit, under an approved plan of
exploration or plan of development.
