Coastal
Project Questionnaire
Answers to this Coastal Project Questionnaire (CPQ) will determine State
and federal permitting requirements as well as which State agency will
coordinate the project consistency review.
Geophysical
Exploration Permit Application
A geophysical Exploration Permit is necessary for conducting seismic surveys
on state lands and waters. These studies help to identify geological structures
with potential accumulations of oil or gas. These permits are a type of
land use permit and are sometimes called Seismic Permits. Application

Lease/Unit
Plan of Operations Application
This application is used by oil and gas lessees or unit operators to apply

Statewide
Oil and Gas Bond Application
Lessees must post a bond before exploring or developing a state oil and
gas lease. A $500,000 Statewide Oil and Gas Bond applies to activity statewide
regardless of the number of wells being drilled.

Single
Lease Operation Oil and Gas Bond
This bond is smiliar to the Statewide Oil and Gas Bond mentioned above,
however, it applies to activity on only a single lease. The amount of the
bond is determined on a case by case basis.
Statewide
Miscellaneous Land Use Bond
Applicants of a Geophysical Exploration Permit usually have a Statewide
Miscellaneous Land Use Bond of $100,000.
